All of this arguing and debating over abortion has my head spinning. Is it right? Is it wrong? Should we choose pro-life or pro-choice? Most people know the Church is against abortion - unless of course you've been living under a rock, and with everything that's been going on I don't blame you. Sometimes, I wish I could live under a rock too.
But let's get real - We are now living in a time which places more value over human emotions, than human relationships. We set our own standards for morals and ethics; place pride at the forefront of our belief system; kick down anyone who doesn't agree with us...and we call it love. We are willing to tear-down friends, family members, coworkers, and even strangers for the "good of mankind". I call it purely hypocritical and straight-forward baloney. It all boils down to selfish ambition and pride. This has absolutely nothing to do with human rights. If it had anything to do with human rights, then we would care more about humans, and less about our own agenda. We can't change the government-regardless of who is in office. We can, however, change our own individual perspective.
The hidden truth(s) about abortion...
I have met a lot of women who have had an abortion. I have never met a woman who felt like she was empowered or set free because of an abortion. Women who have had an abortion will tell you the truth: The pain never goes away. The grief will always remain. The side-effects cause mental, emotional, and physical turmoil in the minds and bodies of women. Many of these women struggle with grief, depression, fear, anxiety, shame, condemnation, addictions, feelings of inadequacies, and poor relationships. Here's the hardcore truth: Abortion does not give women a voice - it actually takes their voice away. It paralyzes them from experiencing freedom and true victory. Thanks to a flawed and quite frankly demonic system, we now have thousands of women in spiritual bondage who are afraid to use their voice. If we truly cared about the hearts of women-instead of our own personal agenda-then we might begin to recognize the condition of human fragility. The heart can only withstand so much until it breaks.
Other Possible Side-Effects of Abortion Include:
Heavy or Persistent Bleeding
Uterine Perforation
Cervical Damage
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) -
has been renamed Post Abortion Syndrome (PAS)
Cancer
Death
Future Miscarriages
Difficult Time with Future Pregnancies
Future Placenta Previa
Future Preterm Delivery
This is why no one is talking about it...
A Prophetic Word to the Church:
Our only solution is to be proactive instead of reactive. It is time for the Church to take responsibility. We have allowed the enemy to distract us for far too long. God is saying, "You have circled around this mountain long enough; turn north"(Duet. 2:3)! Allow me to paraphrase...stop doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. That's the definition of insanity. It's time for the Church to change direction. We have been so focused on the topic of abortion that we have failed to realize that the enemy has come in through our backdoor. Every year we have a new generation of young girls who are coming up to the front line. Is anyone paying attention to them? My guess is no. The Church has reached a pivotal moment in time. We need to decree and declare the solution, not the problem.
The Church is responsible for building a new kind of army. We need to help women break-free from spiritual bondage caused by an abortion. Give these women a voice. Encourage them to speak-up and speak-out about the realities of an abortion. As Christ Followers, we are anointed and commissioned by God "to bring good news to the humble and afflicted; to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, to proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the captives and freedom to prisoners" (Isaiah 61:1). We are called to be set apart-not to argue and debate with the world.
We need to stop circling around the issue of abortion. The Lord is saying to the body of Christ, "get your affairs in order" (2 Kings 20:1). It's time for us to start having difficult conversations with our teenagers and our youth groups. We need to warn them about the physical and spiritual implications of an abortion (among other real-world issues). The reality is that "we do not war against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesian 6:12). We need to know who we are fighting and why. It's time for the Church to ascend and start fighting with spiritual weapons.
God is calling us to higher levels. We must change direction and keep our eyes on Jesus. God is doing a new thing! The Church needs to be ready and in position to receive it. To those who are in position - get ready for Isaiah 60 and Isaiah 61 encounters! IT'S TIME FOR THE CHURCH TO ARISE AND TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE.
